Stefan Weinberger
Cinematographer & Filmmaker
Stefan Weinberger is a cinematographer born and raised in New York City. He holds a B.A. in Art History from Wesleyan University and an MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute. Stefan’s narrative work has played at festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Tribeca Film Festival, and the Maryland Film Festival, among others. His latest narrative feature, The Line, starring Alex Wolff, Angus Cloud, and John Malkovich, recently premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2023. His documentary work includes episodic series for Netflix, Apple TV, ESPN, YouTube Originals, Nowness, and more, working with Oscar-nominated directors such as Garrett Bradley, Questlove, and Asif Kapadia. Stefan’s goal as a filmmaker is to use the moving image to create empathy and awareness, and to foster an environment of respect, equity, and verdant creativity within his collaborations.
